The company PASIOPOULOS is active since 1998 in the field of marketing avgotaraxo-bottarga and local products from Messolonghi.

Accumulated knowledge, passion and persistence in value, created the Avgotaraxo –bottarga Gold Selection, a selection of high quality roe.

Avgotaraxo –bottarga  is the most famous of the products of Messolonghi and at the same time the most exquisite.

As the etymology of the word -egg and stuffing- shows, roe is a natural product derived from finely stuffed fish eggs, which are dipped in natural beeswax for preservation.

The name PELADA:

 Customers, an integral part of the landscape of the Messolonghi-Aetolian lagoon. These are wooden houses on stilts where fishermen store their tools

The creation

Seeing the rapid increase in demand for Greek products and especially ouzo and tsipouro, in 2012 the company decided to proceed with the creation of its own product recognizing this opportunity for further development.

Ouzo pelada

The goal was to create a differentiated product from the traditional Greek ouzo, marrying a traditional product, such as Chios mastic, with anise and asteroid anise.

 The marriage of tradition and differentiation gave the current delicious result of a "teased" ouzo.

Tsipouro Pelada

Following the Thessalian recipe, as it is the basic taste that the general public knows when referring to tsipouro, we decided that the base of our Tsipouro will be Hamburg Muscat. With the difference that we did not want to produce another single-variety tsipouro, but to give a special taste to our own distillate, combining varieties of marc that will eventually highlight its diversity.
