Thymeli from the Kopanezos family, is the continuation of perhaps the most traditional family, dealing with the traditional beekeeping of Kalymnos. Starting from the beginning of the century, in Myrties of Kalymnos, from our ancestors, Nikolas and Irini Magriplis, the art of beekeeping was passed on to our father and mother Antonis Kopanezos and Maria Magriplis. Since then, based in Vathi of Kalymnos and depending on the time of the year, our family moves the hives all over Kalymnos and Kos, with the sole focus on the maintenance, development and safety of the bees. 

 For the last 17 years the beekeeping tradition of the Kopanezos family has been continued by Drossos and Antonis Antonis is the 4th generation of beekeepers in our family. The nomadic beekeeping practices we follow are based on traditional methods of development, aimed at producing honey of the highest quality. Every year we carry out an extensive series of tests. From the certified laboratory of beekeeping, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. According to the quality control, the honey we produce is of high nutritional value and contains thyme pollen grains.
