Farma Sarlis figs are unique because they have a very thin skin, are very sweet, smooth to the mouth and are distinguished from their very attractive golden color, that they obtain from the sun, the moment they start maturing on the trees.

Their worldwide validation as P.D.O. (Protected Destination of Origin), is one of the first 5 Greek products to receive such a recognition.

Due to the fact that the figs are full of honey, from the ancient times, people had to cut them open and put them in the air and sun to dry.

After drying they are paired and closed and so we create the “askada” (two dry figs put together). We cultivate them for decades with love and respect to the traditions and our final products are preserved in excellent condition without any added preservatives.

Figs contain a lot of fibers (needed for good nutrition), they are diuretic and help in the good function of the intestines.

They are rich in potassium, calcium and iron, without having fat, salt or cholesterol.

Despite the fact that fresh figs have a lot of calories, dry figs have one of the lowest amounts of calories in dry fruits. They also help with fertility.
