The Producers' Organization of the Agricultural Cooperative of Megaplatanos was recognized in 2018, for asparagus and cherry and was created by 43 members of the Agricultural Cooperative of Megaplatanos. Their purpose was to jointly address the challenges of the market, having as tools development and operational programs.

ASPARAGUS

• We are transporting about 300 tons of white asparagus collected from the beginning of March to the end of April. Their cutting and standardization, in seven categories, takes place at the premises of our Cooperative

CHERRY

• The approximately 800 tons of cherries are harvested from the beginning of May with early varieties such as Burla, Early Lory and Early BiGi, followed by the mid-early varieties such as Larian, Giant Red, Cristalina and the harvest is completed around June 20 with the late varieties Ferovia, Germorddorfer, Gordia Skeena

Ο.Π. of Α.Σ. Megaplatanou implements an integrated management system in these crops according to the AGRO 2-1, AGRO 2-2 standard
